I guess USCIS is sending Receipt Notes according to priority dates meaning with 2006-7 priority dates will get receipts later.
My 485 reached on 2nd july...No Update yet.

Hi,
I have I-140 approved(ABC company) and have 5 months left in my first 6 year cycle. I was laid off from the job. A New employer XYZ applied for my H1B extension based on I-140 approval and got approved for 3 years.But I was unable to join
XYZ due to family situation and moved back to India.
Questions:
1. Can a new employer apply for H1B extension based on my I-140 approval even though I am not in USA.? My I-140 has not been revoked or cancelled.
or
2.Can I claim the remaining time on my H1B approval(based on I-140) with company XYZ ?I have copy of the H1B approval but not sure if it has been revoked.
Please advice.

Your H1b will be cancelled without prejudice. You can have only 1 typeof visa stamped on your passport

Need urgent help.
I have files my visa (H1B), where I have diffence in my first name printed in my passport than on all my degree certificates.
In my 10th standard certifciate it was printed as "Gorav" should have been "Gaurav". But in all my degree certificates it's "Gaurav".
My last name is same in all certificates, passport etc.
My parents name and Date of birth and home address is also same in all certificates and passport.
When I filed my H1B I filled up my first name as "Gorav" (as it is in passport).
What shall I do know? Will it have any impact on my visa approval?
What shall I do before they ask me for any question?
Please help as it's time sensitive issue

I did send my wife's and my daughter's RFE in one package. But have separate cover lettter and folder. One packet is enough, clearly distiguish between two set of papers.
My wife and I got RFE on medical. Now I am sending response to RFE. Do I need to send the RFE response individually by FEDEX or Can I send both of us responses in one FEDEX package? Please advise. Thanks.

I had the same case. Call up the 800 number in the reciept and find options where you can change the address on the phone. The reason I tried this was because as the # is not in the system you can't even report a problem with the case.
Now when the representative is available, tell them the issue and they will connect you to someone who can verify the status for you. The next layer rep will ask your name and address for verification and tell you the status.

You cannot use the “AUTO VISA Revalidation” rule once you go for stamping.

Currently I am on H1B visa.I will file my 485 as secondary applicant.What are my options in case If I have to leave my job and my 485 is still not approved.
Do I need to file H4 (Since 485 is still not approved) ?

You can status will be Adjustment of Status ( AOS ) but cant work . IYou need a APO if you want to travel . If you want to work you need an EAD .
Check with attorney .This is the essence of mail which i got from my attorney when asked regarding my son status

Hello,
I obtained an EAD using my OPT just to be able to work in the U.S. while my fiancee completes her degree (I graduated in December 06 and she will do so in May 07). Since we will get married after she graduates, and will file for adjustment of status, we thought there would be no problem in my ability to work without any interruption.
However, it seems that filing for adjustment of status invalidates your OPT, therefore you wouldn't be able to continue working until you get your new EAD.
Does that mean I would have to stop working for 90 days or so after I get married? (Remember I'm on an F-1 as I think you can keep working if on an H-1B)
If so, is there any way to minimize this problem?
