one more question... if I reenter using my AP then IO always take you to some place/room to verify something or its sometimes/randomly only? I just realize that my connection time while coming back from one airport(POE) to another is just 2 hours.
I can tell you right now that 2 hrs is not enough time for your connection flight and it is NOT RANDOM.its for all AP holders

From what you have mentioned, the answer to your question lies in the notice that USCIS has sent to your attorney....The letter should have exactly the steps needed and the time to respond....Your best bet is to request the attorney to send you a copy of the letter....
Personally, I think USCIS would request the empoyer to sign the check or re-issue a new one and send it within 30 days....it is not a big deal....

Yes pretty much looks OK but I wont be comfortable if this is format your parents will use. For close relative this format is fine.
For parents I am not comfortable with the statement "and that________father�s name) is his/her father and _____________ (mother�s name) is his/her mother."
So just dig a little and there were members who have posted the sample for parents and close relative.

Non-compete is based on a state law. Consult a Virginia employment attorney. Generally non-compete doesn't have teeth, because every one has got a right to work and practice your profession/make living.
Everyone has got right to work and practice their profession/make living, but not with the end client written in the contract, within the given period of time. Surely thats not life long, but there must be a period for 6 months, 12 months etc.

I also got RFE from VSC for AP reg PP clear copies. In my case, lawyer asked to send me clear copies of bigraphic info which means first and last page of PP showing photo and name and other info. I scanned and sent color images to my lawyer. So strange that all VSC people are getting this RFE.
Online status simply shows, recieved and pending.. Does not reflect the RFE at all.

Yes, you can run a business on EAD.
You can own a business on H1-B too. But you cannot work for it . You can invest and have someone manage the operation for you. you can take profits but not work as an employee.
Ok, so one can own but not run a business with H1B, but can own and run with EAD,right?

I applied I-485 in July 2007. But didn't apply for EAD/AP. I applied for EAD for the first time now, few days back and I was asked by my lawyer a check of $340 as application fee.

I did pay $340 as I had applied in March 2008...now I am up for renewal...so I was hoping that I dont hace to pay any money since I had applied my first EAD with the new fee structure..

I have already moved to company B. Have an i-140 approved from company A in 09/2006. Now that my 6 years are over in 5 months, waiting for Fragomen to determine appropriate strategy for extension since new Perm has not been pending for 365 days. Anyone have experience with extending H1 using company A I-140 when with company B?

As far as I know INS cannot look into somebody's tax records without the individual's consent. I am not sure this is even a genuine post.
And of course IRS is happy take your taxes, they don't care about the immigration status.

Similar thing happened to my AP notice. I got all the notices properly including EAD. But my AP approval notice was sent back by USPS as undeliverable. USCIS sent the AP back to my lawyer along with USPS undeliverbale notice without any upate on the online status. Lawyer sent whole package back to me. I could see that address is correct. I have placed recepient names in the mail box long back so thats not the issue. USPS undeliverable notice was pasted on top of the returned mail. That was strange.
As I enquired further one of my friend wife FP notice also sent back like that , luckily his lawyer also got another one.
I am going to meet USPS personnel soon to find out what exactly the issue .
On October XX, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent.

Another question is when using AC-21 to change jobs via H1b transfer, (or even EAD for that matter)
how does one bring up the topic of AC-21 to the employer?
Is is as simple a putting a condition to them saying hey "I will need an employment verification letter from you to ensure that my 485 process started with my previous employer will not be hindered."
(I am not talking desi consulting coy...but other companies where the HR person might not have a clue of what AC21 is!)

My wife will apply for H1 this April. I also have some questions:
1. can she transfer her H1 to another company before she starts to work for the company which sponsors her H1B?
2. if she does not want to join the sponsoring company, can she transfer back to H4 after getting H1B approval but before Oct. 1st? Under this circumstance, is she subject to H1 quota in the future?
